IDC has published a report detailing its top 10 predictions for the worldwide personal computing and mobile connected devices markets in 2012.
“PC and related device makers faced a tumultuous 2011 as global economic uncertainty limited both consumer and commercial spending for PC products,” says Linn Huang, senior research analyst, IDC Clients and Displays. “The global PC market will experience substantial recovery in the second half of 2012 as HDD shortages are alleviated, emerging product categories continue to grow, and Microsoft's Windows 8 is launched.”
