ActionBase 6.1 hits market

ActionBase version 6.1 has been released. The revamped solution provides what Actionbase calls ‘enterprise wave collaborative functionality’. It also maintains corporate governance, an audit trail and security – all within Microsoft Outlook and Office applications.

ActionBase turns regular e-mail into business-class e-mail in which all communication and content is located under a one-line item in the inbox. In this ‘wave’ of communication all process stakeholders and participants in a discussion thread share the same content, can ask questions, respond and comment or add files.

ActionDoc (ActionBase’s action-driven Word documents) functionality has been expanded and is now capable of turning plain Word documents into executable working documents with a real-time graphical status view over the whole process. This allows enterprise users to follow not only the thread of a discussion but all actions that were initiated subsequently by any user involved in the process.

“The ability to have a real-time, bird’s-eye view and drill-down capabilities from Microsoft Office applications allows process stakeholders to view the big picture without compromising collaborative functionality and consolidating all relevant process items into one coherent process view – everything enterprises need,” said Eyal Maor, CEO of ActionBase. “ActionBase 6.1 helps enterprises maintain corporate governance and security with a more comprehensive but easy-to-use system to help achieve operational and organisational excellence.”
