Alps Electric gains process intelligence
1 March 2013
Alps Electric has selected Apriso’s FlexNet Manufacturing Process Intelligence (MPI) solution for manufacturing intelligence, analytics and reporting.
Apriso’s manufacturing operations platform will allow Alps Electric to shorten lead times and reduce idle stock and inventory on a global scale.
We expect Apriso’s MPI to enable not only reduced reporting work by each workgroup at each site, but to also consolidate these reports at an enterprise-level
Hirotaka Ibaraki, Alps Electric Apriso’s MPI solution can indicate real-time points for improvement and provide actionable insights, which can then be performed at each of the company’s manufacturing operations plants.
“By using advanced manufacturing intelligence to consolidate multi-modal analytics, we expect Apriso’s MPI to enable not only reduced reporting work by each workgroup at each site, but to also consolidate these reports at an enterprise-level,” said Hirotaka Ibaraki, project manager of Alps Electric. “In the end, we expect MPI to shorten process improvement cycles.”
Alps Electric is a global manufacturer of high-quality electronic components for mobile devices, industrial equipment and automobiles.
“MPI can help Alps Electric to further elevate the company’s operational excellence and make the next leap forward on a global scale,” said Gerry Fosnick, general manager of Field Operations for Apriso Japan.
Apriso’s Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence application is built on the Microsoft BI stack that uses SQL Server Enterprise Edition.
