Argility and Fujitsu unite for retail
28 January 2010
Argility has successfully ported its Active Retail enterprise solution to the Fujitsu TeamPoS 3600 point-of-sale (POS) system. This creates a powerful Fujitsu RetailReady solution that will give retailers a seamless, cost-effective approach to integrating and implementing in-store hardware and software
“The versatile Fujitsu TeamPoS systems are the ideal platform for Active Retail,” said Andrew Blatherwick, executive director of Argility. “The TeamPoS system is easy and economical to install and maintain, to keep retailers’ cost of ownership low. It’s also ideal for training store associates with multimedia applications. Active Retail and TeamPoS 3600 systems offer retailers an unbeatable, optimised retail solution.”
This in-store system handles POS transactions, stock management and back-office processing at store level. It also facilitates consolidation of information at head office level with the ability to configure and control the manner in which the system works in individual stores.
The product manages the movement of stock and information between each store and head office and can be integrated with other applications such as ERP and merchandising solutions.
The Fujitsu TeamPoS 3600 runs on Microsoft platforms including Windows XP and Windows Vista Business.
“As a Fujitsu RetailReady solution provider, Argility demonstrates that Active Retail combined with the Fujitsu TeamPoS 3600 POS system is a ‘power couple’ solution that’s ready for work – today,” said Matt McManus, vice president of channel sales for Fujitsu America. “The combination can dramatically reduce implementation time and ongoing costs, to help retailers differentiate their business performance.”
