Browns goes end-to-end

Browns has been in operation for over 100 years

Browns of York, a UK department store over a century old, has selected Unipower to develop and replace its existing EPOS, stock and financials system.

“Unipower spent a great deal of time with us, not only helping us to realise our vision, but actively participating in improving that vision,” said Shane Longhorne, Browns’ financial director.

“Our new retail and supply chain business system incorporates Microsoft Dynamics NAV to manage the procurement, inventory, financials and CRM, as well as control our AIS transaction systems,” continued Longhorne. “This is fully integrated to Unipower’s multi-channel EPOS and Webstore front end. Finally, this is all co-ordinated by an integrated business intelligence system that will allow us to have complete visibility of all aspects of the business.”

Unipower’s managing director John Camp added: “A multi-channel retail solution based around a Microsoft application platform raises the bar for standards within the retail community, which, with our solution and integrated business intelligence offering, delivers key benefits to all levels of Browns’ business.”
