Campbell implements Infor ERP

Data acquisition and control products manufacturer Campbell Scientific is implementing Infor’s SyteLine enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite in its European headquarters. Campbell, whose global HQ is in Utah in the USA, runs its European business from Loughborough, UK, from which it supports a number of clients in the agricultural research, environmental and climate monitoring, hydrology, meteorology, and industrial R&D sectors.

Campbell is deploying SyteLine to help integrate production, purchasing, sales, accounting, contract management, warehousing and service functions. The company hopes the solution will help streamline workflow, allowing it to drive efficiencies and hone competitive advantage.

Critically, SyteLine can be used to integrate business functions that currently operate outside of Campbell’s existing ERP system, such as R&D and quality control. “Throughout the selection process Infor consistently demonstrated a keenness and ability to understand our business processes and requirements for an ERP system,” said Mark Pimperton, Campbell’s IT manager & ERP project manager.

Infor says SyteLine is designed for manufacturers’ from engineer to order to repetitive environments. The solution is built on the Microsoft .NET Framework and its presentation architecture works in conjunction with the Microsoft platform to generate individually tailored screens in real time. Screen fields, labels, and other look and feel options can be personalised, resulting, according to Infor, in a reduction in training costs and an increase in employee productivity that lead to improved customer responsiveness and greater efficiency.
