Camper deploys TXT retail software
20 December 2013
Camper, a European footwear brand, has implemented TXT Integrated Retail Planning software.
The software will support the company’s entire retail planning cycle as it looks to expand both online and internationally.
Camper has more than 300 own-brand stores and a range of shoes sold online and through 4,000 authorised points of sale (POS) in more than 50 countries worldwide.
The company needed to integrate planning technology in order to support the complex merchandise, assortment, allocation and purchase planning systems across all its products and geographies.
Camper selected TXT e-solutions to provide a solution that combined leading-edge technology with retail planning best practices.
“Previously, each buyer tended to work relying on different spreadsheets for planning,” said Sito Luis Salas, chief operating officer at Camper. “We chose TXT because they were quick to understand our needs and due to their expertise in the fashion and footwear industry. The ease of use of their technology perfectly suited our goal of achieving integrated planning in a multi-channel, multi category and multi-country scenario.”
TXT’s software will help Camper improve its planning capabilities for each market, including specific tools for strategic planning, store and merchandise planning, collection and assortment strategy, assortment planning, pre-season forecasting, as well as initial allocation and purchase, Open to Buy, in-season control and reporting.
Camper will also be able to standardise processes through a collaborative workflow, and benefit from better company-wide visibility. The solution’s analytic and reporting capabilities will improve planning and decision-making, as well as providing information to planning and design teams to shape their work.
“Camper is a perfect match of tradition, innovation, commitment to quality and comfort, and we are proud to support such a visionary company in their journey to improve their planning processes in a context of international and multichannel expansion,” commented Simone Pozzi, vice president of Sales and Marketing at TXT. “The synergies between our teams are proving extremely successful.”
