23 April 2010
Cognizant and Microsoft have recently launched a new Insurance Dashboard, a unique business intelligence performance management solution developed jointly by the two companies using Microsoft technologies.
The solution, which marks the expansion of the strategic alliance between Microsoft and the IT, consulting, and business process outsourcing services provider, will enable insurance businesses to enhance the delivery of insurance services to business users by enabling better management of key performance indicators.
“The combined forces of Cognizant and Microsoft have resulted in a very solid business intelligence solution for the insurance industry,” said Rajan Anandan, managing director for Microsoft India. “Both the organisations have a reputation of responding to customer needs well in advance and providing cost-effective, industry-ready solutions. This solution will enable the insurers to go to market quickly and reduce costs significantly.”
Equipped with standard key performance indicators and measures that capture crucial data for various insurance business functions, this solution provides near real-time analysis of critical performance measures against targets based on organisational goals and will help insurance service providers increase operational efficiency, contain losses and satisfy customers.
Pradeep Shilige, senior vice president, Insurance Practice, Cognizant, said: “The Insurance Dashboard reflects the market value of our alliance in the insurance space. We also plan to further expand our strategic alliance to launch a Microsoft-Cognizant Insurance Innovation Center of Excellence to showcase Cognizant‘s solutions across the Insurance value chain using Microsoft technologies.”
