Cutwater cuts integration hassle

Miami is a supplier of automotive, contract and marine upholstery

The Miami Corporation (Miami), a US supplier of automotive, contract and marine upholstery and trim products, has implemented Cutwater’s BI reporting software. The solution has been preconfigured for the company’s transaction system, Activant Prophet 21.

Cutwater was chosen because its software is entirely Microsoft-based and integrated with Miami’s existing Microsoft Excel system. Users can query data and save reports from their desktop, without having to learn a new software interface. They can also view results in a spreadsheet format.

“By definition, preconfigured software means no work for the client to install,” said Jim Heatherington, managing director at Cutwater. “But the real advantage exists when the average business user turns to the product without hesitation and finds it convenient to use. This separates Cutwater BI from most other report writers.”
