More and more retail technology companies are using Microsoft Surface to develop new applications to make things easy for customers. Several of these companies displayed their retail offerings at the Microsoft stand at NRF 2010, the retail industry’s big show.
The Retail Map by IdentityMine is an application on Microsoft Surface that allows customers to browse, find out more about products and locate items on a store map mirroring the physical store environment to find exactly what they need. The application also connects the in-store and Web site experience using Microsoft Tag, SMS and custom mobile apps.
Digital Folio by CSG is an integrated retail shopping experience application on Microsoft Surface that combines price/product comparisons, third party reviews, interactive demonstrations, product manuals and firmware updates.
