Excel reporting muscle for managers

US-based reporting solution provider Jet Reports has announced a new product to take partners and end-users into the future. Jet Reports 2009 is the latest version of the Microsoft Excel-based reporting solution and builds on existing report-making functionality with the new Report Builder tool, which allows end users to build a wide variety of reports.

Built on the .NET Framework, Jet says the 2009 product is its most comprehensive reporting solution to date. “Jet Reports is much more than just a tool. It is a complete reporting solution for end users,” said Phillip Bride, the company’s president. “With Jet Reports 2009, we’ve introduced Report Builder to allow end users to build reports, and we’ve improved the scheduler so they can send up-to-date reports to the warehouse, sales and management team daily. We’ve also updated the architecture to .NET so we can track the latest technology advancements to provide the best Excel reporting solution possible.”

For partners, Jet Reports 2009 allows them to concentrate on providing their end users with the consultancy services they require, as opposed to building the odd report here and there. So, the customer now has the functionality to build its own report, but has the option to then go to the partner for extra help and get the most out of the solution.

“Jet Reports fulfils all that a partner needs in an ERP system,” said Bride. “Our solution completes the whole data cycle in a customer’s environment, so the partner can focus its expertise on customer business optimisation speeding up their sales process and giving them a reason to engage more often with customers. After all, a solution centre’s differentiation from its competitors is not in its reporting capabilities, but in its core products and services. Our reporting solution allows them to provide good value and focus on what is important to them.”
