Microsoft is supporting the UK government’s decision to release Met Office UK weather information to the public.
The Windows Azure Marketplace will make available daily, hourly and five day Met Office UK forecasts in near real time.
This data will then be released to more than 30,000 small businesses in Microsoft’s partner ecosystem.
The weather data is available from two websites – from the government’s data.gov.uk site and Microsoft’s datamarket.azure.com website.
Windows Azure is Microsoft's public cloud computing platform.
