A top-of-the-line PDA, the skeye.dart, has been released by mobile solutions company, Höft & Wessel. Designed to be easy to operate, the new PDA encompasses first-rate technology in a robust unit.

With the choice of two standard variants available for deployment in branches and in the field service, skeye.dart is intended to optimise time-use by introducing self-scanning facilities to be utilised in field service, mobile order processing, maintenance, and facility management. Both variants use the Microsoft Windows embedded CE 6.0 operating system.

The skeye.dart is equipped with WLAN, Bluetooth and GPRS/EDGE in order to communicate with the central system, or for integration of peripherals such as mobile printers. The integrated GPS module facilitates position finding, tracking and navigation. The ScanCam can be used to read barcodes reliably and also take images for documentation purposes.

The PDA is designed with simplicity in mind. Via the function tasks, for example, skeye.dart has been equipped with a selective key backlighting system, which illuminates only the relevant keys for a specific function.
