Iconics helps deliver OPC training

Shopfloor systems vendor Iconics is to collaborate with Canadian firm OPC Training Institute (OPCTI) to provide training in automation and visualisation skills. OPCTI’s workshops train automation professionals to take on the task of establishing a robust communication infrastructure. OPCTI is an active member and strong supporter of the OPC Foundation.
Iconics’ OPC-integrated solutions feature key technologies such as tunnelling; connecting any remote OPC server to a client in a robust manner, allowing for real-time data to be redirected to more than one location. The firm is a Microsoft Gold Partner and designs all its solutions around Microsoft technologies
“Iconics OPC Servers are used in the ‘hands-on’ portion of our trainings,“ said OPCTI president Randy Kondor. “It is one of multiple servers to which we connect. Additional Iconics solutions featuring tunnelling, redundancy, and data exchange are also mentioned.“
