Interoperability achievement for Tango Networks

Tango Networks' Abrazo unified communications solution has qualified for interoperability with Office Communications Server 2007, while the company was simultaneously accepted into the Microsoft Unified Communications Open Interoperability Program.

Abrazo is based on a hybrid architecture, and enables corporations to interoperate any mobile phone with Office Communications Server 2007. It enables users to make and receive mobile phone calls using the enterprise communications network, with a single unified communications inbox that includes both desktop and mobile voicemail. Presence and location information from the mobile network can be shared with Office Communications Server 2007 contacts.

“Microsoft has successfully extended the power of unified communications to embrace desktop voice communications as part of the enterprise’s overall unified communications strategy,” said Alastair Westgarth, president and chief executive officer of Tango Networks. “Tango is taking it one step further by enabling enterprises to extend Office Communications Server 2007 to all mobile devices while providing a complete view of end-user availability and location.”
