Ishida selects Cincom configurator

Weighing and packing lines producer Ishida Europe has selected Cincom Systems’ Sales Configurator to improve quote and proposal processes for its configure-to-order products.

Ishida is deploying the Cincom solution across EMEA in both its direct sales operations and dealer network. The Ishida installation deploys Microsoft SQL Server database technology, Microsoft Internet Information Services and will integrate with Word and Excel. Cincom says the Sales Configurator can help manufacturers configure products with 100 per cent accuracy, dramatically reduce proposal generation time and cut lead times by up to 80 per cent.

“Cincom’s drag-and-drop user interface is intuitive and makes it easy to capture and maintain product configuration rules,” said Tim Cutler, Ishida’s operations systems manager.

Cincom says the Sales Configurator enables complex manufacturers to capture and deliver critical application, product, pricing, and process knowledge to the point of sale — ensuring the optimal fit between the manufacturers’ product offerings and customers’ needs.
