Landmark London runs new EPOS

The Landmark London five-star hotel located on Marylebone Road, London has selected Agilysys’s (Europe) for its EPOS needs.

The London hotel has chosen Agilysys InfoGenesis POS touch screen point-of-sale solution, ResPAK dining reservation and restaurant management software for the Winter Garden and the twotwentytwo Restaurant & Bar, handheld POS devices and software for twotwentytwo and for room service, and wireless Verifone Chip and PIN units.

This investment was a major decision for us, and not one taken lightly, but from the start we found Agilysys very accommodating and conscientious,

Louise Uys, The Landmark London

Unusually for a five-star hotel, The Landmark London will be equipping its staff with handheld point-of-service devices.

Hotel management believes this will give a competitive edge, helping to speed up service and enable staff to spend more quality time interacting with guests.

Louise Uys, the hotel’s financial controller, said: “The management information that the system can supply is exceptional, and InfoGenesis will help our managers to ‘own’ each outlet as if they were running a stand-alone business.”

“To be competitive with outside restaurants, we need to have a better handle on who is coming through the door,” continued Uys. “ResPAK will enable us to build a database, recording who’s dining with us, when, and what they enjoy. We’ll then be able to market to them and build their loyalty through a uniquely customised experience.

“Not only will we be able to track our restaurant guests as well as we do our hotel guests, but we’re also confident we can increase table utilisation and tailor our menus more, using ResPAK statistics.”

“This investment was a major decision for us, and not one taken lightly, but from the start we found Agilysys very accommodating and conscientious,” said Uys.

Agilysys will train hotel staff and project-manage the installation and set-up of the new technology in August/September.
