Stoneware has integrated Microsoft Live into their private cloud platform product, webNetwork. This will enable Stoneware customers to deliver the growing number of Microsoft hosted offerings together with their privately delivered applications and services. It is another step in strengthening the union between the public and private cloud space. Customers can integrate Microsoft hosted offerings such as Live@edu, Office Live, and SkyDrive within the same virtual Web desktop as their privately hosted applications and services. "Stoneware continues to lead the industry in uniting the public and private clouds," said Ken Quinton, VP of strategic relations at Stoneware. "Customers are looking for a new way to deliver IT service. They want the freedom to choose which applications or services will be hosted internally or by a third party. Most importantly, they are looking provide their end users with a common platform that hides the complexity and simplifies access to IT services."
