MESA underlines significance of SOA
20 August 2008
The Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA) has added a new track on industrial service oriented architecture (SOA) to its annual plant-to-enterprise conference: Delivering on Strategies, which will take place September 21-23, 2008 at Rosen Plaza, Orlando, Florida, USA.
“Due to overwhelming response, MESA has added a new educational track on service oriented architecture to help attendees in the ongoing formulation, design and integration of SOA in their production environments,” said Michael Yost of GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms and MESA conference co-chair. “In this track, operations and IT teams can learn how leading manufacturers are using SOA to deliver on corporate strategic initiatives such as lean, quality and PLM.”
Sessions in the new industrial SOA track include: SOA in Manufacturing Panel Discussion, moderated by Capgemini and IBM; Excellence in Work Processes, presented by Chevron; A Lean SOA Approach Enables Build Anywhere, presented by Boeing; and Interoperability Compliance Completes the SOA Business Case, presented by 3M.
