The Microsoft Management Summit (MMS) is taking place in Las Vegas this week and there have been a raft of news announcements from companies at the event.
Brad Anderson, corporate vice president, Management & Security Division at Microsoft is this year’s keynote speaker.
Some of the products being covered at MMS 2011 are System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Service Manager R2, Forefront Security products, as well as Windows Embedded, Windows Server and Windows Client management technologies and solutions. There will also be significant coverage of Opalis Integration Server as well as the System Center Data Protection Manager products and solutions.
RES Software has announced a multi-year commitment to the Microsoft System Center family of products. “RES has proudly supported the Microsoft product line since the company was founded 12 years ago, and our re-energised strategic commitment specifically focused on the System Center products is a long-term investment for RES that will ultimately benefit both of our user bases,” said Klaus Besier, CEO of RES Software.
Besier added: “RES is confident that our workspace and automation functionalities will deliver increased flexibility and improved management to System Center customers as they navigate through increasingly complex IT infrastructures.”
App-DNA unveiled a new generation of enterprise application management with the preview of AppTitude 5.0, the latest edition of its software. The offering integrates with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and Microsoft Active Directory, as well as any other data source related to users and the computing environment.
Viewfinity announced the launch of its Local Admin Discovery Tool that helps IT administrators assess detailed information related to which users and groups have administrator rights on corporate desktops. i365 also unveiled a virtualised version of its EVault for Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager.
