Microsoft and Invensys hold cloud event

Automation World, Microsoft and Invensys Operations Management are holding a webinar entitled The Cloud for Manufacturing – A Path to Success.

Microsoft and Invensys have joined forces to provide industrial software based on Windows Azure cloud technology.

At this event, the two companies will share their vision, and show how incremental steps, such as virtualisation, offers users a pathway.

Paul Steen, business development manager, US Developer and Platform Evangelism at Microsoft and Rob McGreevy, Vice president product management, Wonderware, Invensys Operations Management will both be taking part in the webinar.

Rick Moulton of Construction Resources Management will then share his experiences using a cloud-based decision support system from SmartGlance, an Invensys endorsed partner solution.

A Q&A session moderated by Automation World's editor-in-chief, Gary Mintchell, immediately follows the presentation.
