Microsoft to headline cloud event

Microsoft will have a major presence at the Cloud Computing World Forum 2012, which is taking place on 12-13 June in Earls Court, London.
The show was the highest attended cloud computing event in Europe in 2011 and, as a result, will be returning to a larger venue for 2012.
This year, 4,000 senior IT decision-makers from around the globe are expected to attend.

Mark Johnstone, Keynote Mark Johnstone, director of Keynote, the organiser of the forum, commented: “We continue to grow in scale year on year with more exhibitors, more visitors and the highest calibre of speakers in the industry. Every year the Cloud Computing World Forum gets bigger and more exciting – matching the increased significance of cloud in general.
“We are finalising the agenda and have some really exciting news to be announced soon which I’m certain will draw a big crowd.”
The 2012 seminar agenda will be held across eight theatres covering all of the latest topics including software-as-a-service, security, big data, platform-as-a-service, mobile, public sector, virtualisation, comms and social CRM.
Alongside the seminar programme, delegates attending the Cloud Computing World Forum will also have access to the exhibition hall of over 120 global exhibitors.
Over 150 speakers will feature at the event, including:
- Werner Vogels, CTO, Amazon
- Francis Maude, Minister for the Cabinet Office
- David Cullinane, CISO and VP, eBay
- John Sculley, Former CEO, PepsiCo and Apple
- Andy Nelson, CIO, Ministry of Justice.
