Millet Sports in cloud land

The UK’s largest independent sports equipment retailer has chosen a SaaS solution for its back office operations.

Multichannel sports retailer Millet Sports has selected 3EX.NET software by Exact Abacus to drive its ambitious growth plans. The recently launched Microsoft .NET based application will control all back office operations including supply chain, warehouse, customer management, shop sales and Web marketing.

Millet Sports CEO Mike Thornhill commented: "We wanted a low-capital Software as a Service (SaaS) solution and evaluated a number of vendors, but 3EX.NET was the clear winner on the basis of its leading edge technology, clever functionality, ease of use and the vast experience of its authors in our marketplace. Quite simply, the system delivers more functionality much more flexibly than anything else we looked at. It is not an understatement to say that 3EX.NET software will revolutionise our business.”

Millet Sports is rolling out 3EX.NET across its operations and Exact Abacus sales director Lee Thompson is pleased with progress: "3EX.NET is the culmination of six years research and development and was released in October 2007. We have made some huge advances in the areas of usability, order processing, customer service and supply chain management and are delighted that such a substantial and growing brand has selected Exact Abacus as its long-term IT partner.”
