Electronics for lighting specialist, Mode Lighting has enlisted Preactor International to manage their diverse team of staff and meet with the ever changing demands of today’s business environment. With staff utilisation levels at over 82 per cent up from 60 per cent, Mode Lighting has seen the effects of an enterprise resource planning software from Preactor reseller The Planning Board. The Planning Board implemented a custom matrix of fifteen calendar permutations for every worker at Mode Lighting to ensure they have the right staff with the right skills when they need them. “It has brought stability and realism not just to our planning but to the company as a whole,” said Ian Hodgson, general manger of Mode Lighting. “In these difficult times of varying demand, Preactor has enabled the business to be more integrated and we can confidently make promises and meet them.” CEO of Preactor, Mike Novels, commented of the success of working with Mode Lighting: “The role and value of highly skilled workers in modern manufacturing cannot be overestimated. Having the right components at the right machine resource at the right time isn’t good enough if the worker with the required skill level to set up or operate the resource is not available. The flexibility, visibility and control offered by Preactor will become even more essential to such companies, as they have to adapt to ever more flexible working practices.” Long standing Microsoft Gold certified partner, Preactor International, uses the latest technologies to develop its applications and certifies all its products for use on Microsoft platforms and databases.
