OpenText expands Microsoft cloud use

OpenText has signed a four-year deal with Microsoft to deliver process management and case management solutions on the Windows Azure cloud computing platform.
Three years ago OpenText was one of the first enterprise software vendors to add support for Windows Azure with its records management and archiving solutions.
Its M3 modelling suite then achieved Windows Azure competency last year.

Walid Abu-Hadba, Microsoft This latest agreement extends the current agreement to encompass OpenText business process management and Microsoft cloud technologies.
This means that customers can now deploy OpenText solutions in the cloud, on-premise or a hybrid of cloud and on-premise.
The two companies are developing industry-specific applications tailored to business and user requirements in industries such as financial services, oil and gas, utilities and public sector.
