Orange is experiencing strong customer adoption of Microsoft’s unified communications and collaboration solutions
Global mobile telephony provider Orange is increasing the scope of the services it offers under the Orange Business Services banner. Orange is adding to its Business Together with Microsoft portfolio, making the latest versions of Microsoft’s unified communication and collaboration offerings available as standard managed services.
Microsoft solutions Exchange Server 2007, Office Communications Server 2007 and Office SharePoint Server 2007 will now be available to the 150,000 users of Orange Business Services, supported with ITIL standards-based service management.
“Based on their impressive deployment numbers, Orange is experiencing strong customer adoption of Microsoft’s unified communications and collaboration solutions,” said Betsy Frost, Microsoft’s general manager of Unified Communications Marketing. “The enhancements announced today will only accelerate the traction of Orange’s managed services.”
Orange says Business Together with Microsoft benefits companies by enabling global cooperative work and accelerating business processes, along with low cost-of-ownership as well as flexible capacity and features.
“Multinationals are looking for a fully managed collaboration and messaging solution that can connect end users no matter where they are,” said Laurent Kocher, senior vice president of Global Services at Orange Business Services.
