Partnership aces payment experience

Agilysys has partnered with payment solution, a Germany-based provider of payment systems for sports and entertainment venues that use multi-functional debit cards and contactless RFID chip technology.

“We are delighted to partner with this leader in cashless systems to provide even more to our customers,” said Tina Stehle, senior vice president and general manager of Agilysys Hospitality Solutions Group. “Improving sales transactions is one side of the coin but, unfortunately, a great many venues still don’t have an integrated approach between the point-of-sale (POS) and their inventory and procurement, which limits the benefits delivered by improved transactions.

“However, compared to other providers, our solutions already tightly integrate POS with the back office,” continued Stehle. “This means the right products are always in the right place at the right time and, working with payment solution, we can take this integration and control even further, using the same platform right up to the cashless transaction.”

Venues using our systems typically see higher revenue and profits through increased convenience for guests, faster transactions and enhanced marketing

The primary Agilysys solutions involved in the integrated approach are Eatec Solutions and the Microsoft SQL Server-based InfoGenesis POS. The approach is expected to improve customer service and convenience – for example, customers can now also use their access control card as a pre-paid e-purse. Venues will experience faster transactions, higher customer throughput, shorter queuing times and the eradication of cash shrinkage and theft.

“We are very pleased to be working together with Agilysys and excited about the joint opportunities open to us,” said Heinz-Peter Strömsdörfer, COO for payment solution. “We already appreciated the many benefits Agilysys brings to venues and believe there is a perfect fit with our own justpay approach. Venues using our systems typically see higher revenue and profits through increased convenience for guests, faster transactions and enhanced marketing.”
