Qdabra DBXL for InfoPath coming to EMEA
26 August 2008
Qdabra Software and Bridge Incubation Group are to launch the Qdabra Database Accelerator (DBXL) for Microsoft InfoPath across the entire EMEA region.
DBXL integrates Microsoft InfoPath with the SQL Server relational database. “Today many organisations manage data in InfoPath forms connected to SharePoint,” said Patrick Halstead, president and CEO of Qdabra Software. “Microsoft empowers the office worker to build a distributed data collection solution using InfoPath and SharePoint and this works well initially, but before long you’ll have a boat load of forms and SharePoint performance will start to fall off dramatically. About the same time, you’ll realise a need for greater reporting. Our DBXL Web Service suite lets you migrate your valuable data from a form library on your SharePoint Web server to a database in your SQL data server. SQL is fast and provides advanced reporting. Of course, you can still use SharePoint to access the documents – nothing changes from the user perspective.”
“I look forward to working with Qdabra Software and unleashing the power of DBXL to audiences and the InfoPath communities cross the EMEA region,” said Johan Pellicaan, CEO of Bridge Incubation Group. “This revolutionary solution enables you to quickly build rich data gathering solutions from workgroup to enterprise level.”
