Real time GIS from OSIsoft and Esri

OSIsoft and Esri have partnered to execute on the vision of real-time geographic information systems (GIS).
The two companies will enable out-of-the box integration between OSIsoft’s PI System and Esri’s ArcGIS solution.
They say that this will enable a platform for real-time GIS, as well as seamless back-office integration between operational data management and GIS.

Both technologies use Windows Azure, Microsoft’s cloud platform, enabling deployment on premise and in the cloud.
"The combined expertise of OSIsoft and Esri will allow them to provide deep service delivery capabilities, via a hybrid cloud based on Windows Azure, supporting the needs of our government, commercial and industrial customers," said Laura Ipsen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Public Sector at Microsoft.
The two companies will unveil the partnership at OSIsoft’s Users Conference in San Francisco, California.
