Retailers focus on customer retention

New research from BT Business has found that more than a quarter of retail businesses have looked to better manage and retain existing customers since the recession.

Furthermore, nearly a third of retail industries said they have best benefited from technology by being able to profile customers and the market more effectively.

“There has never been a better time for technology to come to the fore and prove its worth within the retail environment,” said Chris Lindsay, general manager of business applications at BT Business. “If you take our business applications division, this was launched at a time when the UK was entering the recession as a way for businesses to streamline their operations and processes. Software as a service solutions are becoming more and more mainstream and are enabling businesses to reduce operational costs.”

“We have scalable business management cloud solutions that provide a 360 degree view of customer data securely online, which enable all customer interactions to be seen in one place,” Lindsay finished.
