Siemens has signed an acquisition agreement with Tesis PLMware, a leading integrator of product lifecycle management (PLM) software with other enterprise applications.
Enhancing Siemens’ industry software portfolio, Tesis PLMware helps customers improve IT costs and efficiency through its solution that supports the integration of Siemens’ Teamcenter software with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other enterprise applications.
Particularly when involving PLM or ERP interoperability, enterprise software integration allows companies to achieve seamless and efficient flows of information exchange that enables them to keep costs down and remain competitive. The latest acquisition will help customers continue to seamlessly assimilate the Teamcenter PLM portfolio into their product development and manufacturing environments.
“Siemens is committed to delivering best in class solutions that help our customers, and the next generation of manufacturers, efficiently bring innovative products to market,” said Chuck Grindstaff, president and CEO, Siemens PLM Software. “With the acquisition of Tesis PLMware, Siemens is further expanding its portfolio of industry software. With stable and proven interfaces to the world’s leading ERP systems, our PLM solutions are completely integrated into the enterprise software architecture of our customers. This makes them faster, more efficient, more flexible and more cost effective.
