TeamCalendar supports Exchange 2007

Mobile software specialist HandStep has announced that its TeamCalendar application, which enables users of Windows Mobile devices to view colleagues' calendars and plan meetings, now supports Microsoft Exchange 2007.

HandStep says TeamCalendar enables diary planning and coordination in real time and on the go. ItsSmartPlanning function compares colleagues’ calendars and identifies exactly the time slot which is most suitable for all.

TeamCalendar is based on Microsoft Outlook and works in a similar way to booking meetings on a PC but is optimised for wireless communications. The mobile device automatically synchronises with Microsoft Exchange servers via Outlook Web Access to ensure that calendar information is always up to date.

Microsoft is supportive of the product since it enhances the calendaring functionality of Pocket Outlook. Jason Langridge, UK Business Mobility Manager at Microsoft says: “TeamCalendar is a must-have application for busy knowledge workers. With an increasing number of enterprises and hosted service providers now migrating to Exchange 2007 it is important for TeamCalendar to support the most current enterprise e-mail platform.”

The Danish Ministry of Social Affairs is one example of an organisation using the software. “With TeamCalendar I always know where the minister is and what appointments she has. The solution gives me an overview of the minister's diary on my Smartphone, even when we are abroad. It is an easy tool that makes everyday work more effective,” says Katrine Wilms Andersen, Private Secretary at the ministry.
