Temenos wins innovation leader award
20 November 2006
Temenos has won the 'most innovative core banking systems solution' award for its Temenos T24 system at the Financial-i Leaders in Innovation Awards.
The awards recognise the banks and technology vendors that are shaping the delivery of business solutions in wholesale transaction banking. Financial-i compiled the list of winning companies using feedback from leading analysts including Gartner, Forrester Research, TowerGroup, Celent and Financial Insights, and from wholesale transaction banking consultants. Criteria included product innovation over the past 12 to 18 months, cost effective implementation and deployment, potential business benefits and ease of implementation for solutions.
"We are proud to be recognised as the innovative leader in the core banking arena," said Andreas Andreades, chief executive officer at Temenos. "Over the past year, we have invested heavily in our pre- packaged Model Banks methodology for Temenos T24 in retail, universal, private and wholesale banks. We are committed to offering our customers business advantages and maximum return on investment, and have consistently demonstrated our ability to deliver low-risk, cost effective implementations in record time."
Temenos T24 is built on open service oriented architecture, and uses established technology standards such as HTTP, XML and HTML. It offers a single client view across the enterprise and can support large numbers of users with true non-stop resilience. It offers multiple application server support and is the only system available with no end-of-day batch processing and so can genuinely boast of providing real-time 24/7 non- stop banking.
