Exact Abacus has been in the direct commerce software business since 1984. Its 3EX multi-channel application has been installed at more than 200 sites in the UK.

A Microsoft Gold Certified Development Partner, the company have been focusing recent efforts on 3EX.NET, a portfolio of scalable, best-of-breed vertical software solutions for managing a variety of sales, marketing, operational and financial functions. The new software is available as licensed products or software-as-a-service (SaaS).

One of the new products, iSOS, (intelligent stock optimisation system) is a smart purchasing solution, which takes sales forecasting through to new dimensions, automatically controlling both stock and procurement. The marketing department uses iSOS to build campaigns, attaching predicted results as a demand curve over the life of the campaign. Using iSOS, buyers are aware of stock levels versus demand on a constantly updated basis and can use the system to optimise stock levels across multiple warehouse locations and brands. From the outset, iSOS was designed to pay its way, to contribute extra revenue and decrease costs.

Warehouse Manager, a complete warehouse and stock management system as well as a brand new OrderPlane for managing sales and purchase order processing, servicing and simple assemblies, are also due for release before the end of 2007.
