The latest release of our relational core platform, Open Solutions DNA was rewritten in Microsoft .NET to ensure that we were using the most powerful, industry-standard technology available. After moving to .NET, the challenge was to exploit this new environment in a much more powerful way and the result is our DNAextension Framework. Open Solutions was built on innovation and we’ve continued in that vein with the DNAextension Framework as the evolutionary next-generation, service-oriented architecture for our products. Framework is the term for a robust platform for our overall set of solutions that will provide DNA features or applications to Open Solutions clients and partners. The framework will take advantage of the many capabilities of Microsoft .NET 4.0 and its associated technologies and will enable us to improve our development efficiency, increase the quality of our code, increase our agility and rapidly create and deploy DNA features and applications without touching the core code. In short, the framework will enable new features to be developed by ourselves, our clients and our partners to work with DNA without having to modify DNA itself.
